It's an annual event to commemorate the assassinated on 15 January 1919 of the socialist revolutionaries Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg. It takes place every year on January the second weekend in Berlin from the Frankfurter Tor to the Socialist Memorial in the Friedrichsfelde cemetery. During the years of the DDR, the event of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht was a national holiday day, an official parade with the presence of the entire state apparatus. Even after the fall of the wall and the end of the DDR, LL Demo continued to keep up with the participation every year of tens of thousands of people.
